Job summary

School District No. 91 (Nechako Lakes) invites applications for casual custodians to support schools and facilities in the Vanderhoof area, including Mapes.

This casual role has no guaranteed hours and requires risk and safety awareness, with CRRP clearance and WHMIS training. The successful candidate will perform custodial and maintenance duties, ensure sanitation, safety, and security, and maintain building appearance in district facilities.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate)
• Building Service Worker Certificate or equivalent (minimum 40 hours of instruction)
• Minimum of 6 months of related custodial experience
• WHMIS 2015 Certificate and familiarity with WorkSafeBC safety procedures
• Criminal Record Check required through the CRRP (CRRP) — local RCMP checks not accepted

The Successful Candidate Will Be Responsible For

• Ensuring safety, health, sanitation, and security standards are met
• Maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of school buildings and facilities
