Job summary

Grey Owl Digital Surveillance, based in Vancouver, is seeking a security professional for overnight CCTV monitoring of client properties. You will patrol, verify alarms, activate devices as required, and coordinate with authorities to ensure rapid response.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit Incident Reports for Senior Management and stakeholders.
• Prepare and submit reports for Crown Counsel or District Attorney.
• Ensure all required documentation is completed by shift end.
• Escalate communications with local authorities per procedures.
• Direct emergency services as required on-location.

There is an exciting opportunity to join our emerging company, Grey Owl Digital Surveillance, based in Vancouver. Reporting to the CCTV Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in operating the monitoring station and maintaining the safety of our clients’ assets. This position works for overnight shift.

What You Will Do

• Conducts visual patrol verifications of assigned properties utilizing CCTV programs and/or associated software.


• Investigates any and all causes of alarm conditions as indicated or flagged in the CCTV programs and/or associated software.


• Activates any assigned device(s) on an assigned property or operational sector in compliance with policy and procedure manual(s).


• Conducts attentive and alert surveillance and counter-surveillance of any assigned properties, assets or person(s).


• Prepares and submits Incident Reports for Senior Management and location stakeholders.


• Prepares and submits reports for Crown Counsel or District Attorney according to operational sector.


• Ensures all required documentation is completed by shift end.


• Conducts escalating communications with local authorities and agencies in accordance with policy and procedure manual(s).


• Ensures that emergency services are activated and correctly directed as required in response to on-location incidents and observations.

• Valid BC Security Worker’s Licence.


• Familiarity with standard and emergency security operations for construction, commercial, retail, and/or residential settings.


• Familiarity with CCTV operations and associated hardware/software.

Salary Range

$23-$24 per hour
