Job summary

Northwood, Atlantic Canada’s largest not-for-profit continuing care organization, is seeking experienced and enthusiastic CCAs to join our Ivy Meadows team in Halifax. This role focuses on compassionate, client-centred care within a collaborative, interdisciplinary setting.

You’ll work 80 hours biweekly on 8-hour shifts, under CUPE collective agreement, with opportunities for growth and a supportive, inclusive workplace where every contribution matters.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized CCA program.
• Provincial CCA certification.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, families, visitors, and coworkers.
• Good organizational skills and a strong customer service (client/family) focus are required.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to attend work on a regular and consistent basis according to the Northwood Corporate Standards.
• Demonstrated use of proper body mechanics and ability to perform heavy lifting.
• Knowledge of / experience working in a team-based, person-centered approach to care.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
