Job summary

Cape Breton-Victoria Regional Centre for Education invites applications for the Lunch Bus Grounds Supervisor position in various Cape Breton Victoria locations. The role supports student supervision before and after school, at lunch, and while boarding or disembarking buses. The on-site work is at multiple schools with a casual on-call term from September to June.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision for students before and after school for such times as are required and indicated by the principal.
• Provide supervision for students during the lunch and/or noon hour break for such times as are required and indicated by the principal.
• Supervise the washrooms during lunch hour and see that the washrooms are checked before students go in and after they come out. Students are not to be allowed to take any food or drink into the washroom with them.
• After students go into class, tables are cleared off, wiped and floors swept by Supervisors.
• Familiarize themselves with any medical or other problems the children under their supervision may have.
• Provide supervision of students getting on or off the bus before commencement of school and after school is dismissed.
• Report to the principal or designate any problem that might occur during the time of supervision.
• Any other related duties as assigned.

HOURS OF WORK: 3 hours daily (morning, lunch time, dismissal time) (additional hours may be available on a casual basis)
