Dexterra, an established Canadian catering and events leader, is seeking a dynamic Catering Manager to lead sales initiatives and build strong client relationships. You will drive revenue growth, mentor a high-performing team, and deliver innovative event solutions, coordinating with the Food Services Director and kitchen staff to ensure flawless executions. Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of proven sales experience in outdoor catering, events management, or related hospitality industry.
• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and access to a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share in the catering & events sector.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and key decision-makers to ensure repeat business and client satisfaction.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the event team, providing guidance on sales techniques, client engagement, and performance optimization.
• Prepare detailed proposals, quotations, and contracts for both internal & outdoor catering and events services, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client requirements.
• Coordinate with the Food Services Director, Kitchen Manager & Catering team to ensure seamless event execution and client satisfaction.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market opportunities to identify growth potential and inform strategic decisions.
• Manage sales and forecasts, utilizing Cater Trax event software to track leads, conversions, and client interactions.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and service agreements with clients while maintaining profitability and company standards.
• Prepare regular sales reports and performance metrics for management review and strategic planning.
