Western University is seeking a Catering & Conference Event Manager to develop and oversee all aspects of university events in London. You will prepare client quotes, manage deposits, and ensure flawless execution by coordinating with chefs, staff and vendors.
This full-time, on-site role emphasizes customer service, safety, and efficient event operations. Candidates should have 3 years of event planning experience, with preference for hotel/event management background and unionized hospitality
The base salary will be $67,680 - $96,590 per annum. Starting salary will be aligned with the successful candidate’s experience, skills, and demonstrated qualifications.

The Catering & Conference Event Manager is responsible for developing, coordinating and managing all details of special events. The role will prepare quotes for clients and follow up on the collection of event deposits at scheduled intervals as required. The Event Manager will regularly communicate with stakeholders and meet with clients/guests/customers to discuss concerns or issues regarding products, services, dietary needs, health and safety procedures, and event logistics. The role will participate in events as well as assist with managing space and room reservations, and will work closely with the Chef, Supervisors, office staff, service staff and the University community to deliver exceptional customer service for all events.
