About The Role

We are looking for a Casualty Claims Adjuster, Homeowner Liability to join our growing team in the West!

In this role you will investigate and settle routine and moderately complex casualty, liability claims while providing quality service and ensuring prompt and equitable settlement of claims in line with corporate policies and standards.

What You'll Do Here

  • Analyze and interpret insurance policy wording to determine coverage and assess entitlements which are fair and equitable
  • Communicate in a timely and respectful manner with the customer, claimants, lawyers and insurers to settle claims and report findings and settlements
  • Conduct investigations and identify additional information such as independent medical examinations, or employment history required to clarify and/or justify a claim
  • Collect reports and statements to determine liability and coverage
  • Ensure all cases are clearly documented and meet any or all legislative requirements
  • Provide superior customer service to external and internal customers, and answer queries relating to the claims

What You Bring To The Table

  • A college diploma or a university degree or any combination of equivalent education and experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of adjusting experience
  • Can handle or oversee moderate to complex claims
  • Can communicate and negotiate effectively
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Friendly and positive attitude
  • Excellent time management skills

Salary of the successful candidate will typically be positioned between the following range, taking into consideration a number of factors including prior experience, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, location and internal equity:

$68,700.00 - $103,100.00
