Job summary

DHL Express has an opening for a Casual/Part Time Warehouse Associate at our Calgary, AB location. You will support the business by accurately and efficiently managing shipments and packages to serve customers’ needs. Wage: $23.38/hour and will increase per the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).

Shift: On call basis, shifts 8am–10pm Monday to Friday. Join us to help achieve our mission of having the best day every day.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be minimum 18 years of age to undergo prerequisite background checks.
• Ability to lift and carry parcels up to 70 lbs per piece.
• Comfortable working at heights and standing for long periods.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and within tight time constraints.
• Broad general working knowledge of warehouse functions is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Unload and/or load containers, trailers, and vehicles safely, correctly and efficiently.
• Move freight within the warehouse area as per safety procedures.
• Participate in organization and clean-up of the warehouse area.
• Maintain a safe and cooperative work environment.
• Scan freight as per Global SOP in various programs.
• Accurately sort & process inbound and outbound material by deadlines.
• Respond to emails.
• Other warehouse/retail duties as assigned by the shift Supervisor.

Shift: On call basis, shifts will be scheduled between 8am - 10pm Monday to Friday.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Unload and/or load containers, trailers, and vehicles safely correctly and efficiently
• Move freight within the warehouse area as per agreed safety procedures
• Participate in the organization and clean‑up of the warehouse area
• Participate in maintaining a safe and co‑operative work environment
• Scan freight as per Global SOP in various programs
• Accurately sort & process, by deadlines, in-bound and out-bound material
• Responding to emails
• Other warehouse/retail duties as assigned by the shift Supervisor

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Often fatiguing or uncomfortable - hot or cold warehouse environment dependent upon season. The job might often require concentrated levels of attention and physical activity. Tension and time constraints may be an on-going aspect of the job. Uniforms are supplied.
