Job summary

Near North District School Board is hiring a Casual Student Supervisor for Northern Secondary School. You will supervise students during nutrition breaks (10:50–11:30 and 1:30–2:10 daily) to ensure safety and orderly conduct.

The successful candidate will have a minimum Grade 12 education, good communication skills, and the ability to work well in a school team. First Aid is an asset; a Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector and legal work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 education is required.
• Experience in a school/classroom setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during nutrition breaks (10:50–11:30 and 1:30–2:10 daily).
• Maintain safety and order and report incidents as needed.

The successful candidate will be supervising students during the school's nutrition breaks from 10:50 AM to 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM to 2:10 PM daily.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 education
• Experience in a school/classroom setting is preferred

Skills Required

• Demonstrated ability to work with students in a positive and effective manner
• Proven ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively as a member of a school-based team
• Excellent communication skills
• First Aid Certification is considered an asset.

Rate of Pay

$17.60/hour plus 4% vacation pay and any applicable statutory holiday pay

As a condition of employment, a current (completed within previous 6 months)

Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector is required.
