Job summary

Serpent River First Nation is seeking a Casual Relief General Labourer to support skilled trades, maintain job sites, operate tools and ensure safety across construction, manufacturing, and maintenance settings. You will perform a variety of duties including cleaning, material handling, and assisting electricians, plumbers and carpenters, with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Must have Grade 12, ability to lift, and be willing to obtain First Aid/CPR and WHMIS, with Ontario G license.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to follow safety procedures and protocols.
• Ability to work with supervisors and other tradespeople.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety acts and policies.
• Clean and organize workspaces and prepare sites.
• Load, unload, transport, and distribute materials and equipment.
• Assist electricians, plumbers, carpenters and other crafts.
• Use hand and power tools safely and operate machinery.
• Assemble and disassemble scaffolding and structures; dig trenches.
