Job summary

Paladin Security is hiring a Casual Security Guard for the Lake Huron Water Supply System in Grand Bend, Ontario. The role involves patrolling the plant, monitoring alarms and access control, and reporting any security or safety issues. Prerequisites include computer knowledge, experience with CCTV and incident reporting, and First Aid/CPR Level C with AED.

This is an on-site, as-needed position with opportunities for training and benefits; uniforms are provided and travel is not required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct plant patrols inside and out (weekday day shift 1 per day, weekends and night 4 per shift).
• Report security or safety issues (lighting, exit signs, door issues).
• Visitors sign in/out; sign out temp visitors’ cards or keys and log numbers.
• Monitor all door alarms and access control.
• Ensure doors/windows are secure and monitor gate access.
• Stand by for deliveries and monitor weather.
• Complete notebook entries per shift and log/pass on book.
• Investigate suspicious activity and file incident reports.

Payrate: $18.35 - $ 23.19/hour
