Job summary

Rocky Mountain School District No. 6 is accepting external applications for Casual Custodians in the Golden Zone. The custodian ensures a healthy, clean, and safe learning environment, including cleaning and security of school facilities and monitoring public access.

Work is often after school hours and performed under the direction of the Operations Supervisor. Key duties include routine cleaning, minor maintenance, winter maintenance, safety checks, and reporting hazards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning products, practices and equipment.
• Knowledge of WHMIS and all applicable WorkSafe BC safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform major cleaning of the interior of the school during breaks (floors, walls, furniture, fixtures).
• Clean and secure district buildings and monitor public use of facilities.
• Check facilities and report damage or hazards to the Operations Supervisor.
