Job summary

Sturgeon Public Schools is seeking reliable and flexible Casual Caretakers to help maintain clean, safe, and welcoming environments for students and staff. This is a casual position with shifts available as required, including a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

You will be responsible for cleaning washrooms, floors, walls, and lockers, removing garbage, and performing other duties as assigned to ensure classrooms and common areas are clean and welcoming each day.

Qualifications

• WHMIS and First Aid Certification are assets.
• Experience using floor scrubbers and polishers is an asset.
• Applicants must be able to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted.
• Reliable, flexible and willing to support schools as shifts become available.
• Clear Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of the school, including washrooms.
• Mop, sweep, wax, and vacuum floors.
• Wash walls and lockers.
• Remove garbage.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
