Job summary

Fraser Health Authority in Burnaby, BC, is seeking a Casual Rehabilitation Assistant to join the Long-Term Care, Assisted Living & Specialized Populations team at Chenchenstway.

You will implement activation programs under the supervision of Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy, support residents, and help maintain equipment and documentation while contributing to quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Rehabilitation Assistant program or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to deal with others effectively.
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
• Ability to organize work.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, implements activation programs such as exercise, mobilization, seating and splinting.
• Reports observations to therapists and staff as required.
• Maintains equipment and supplies and makes recommendations for maintenance and repair.
• Maintains a safe and orderly workstation.
• Keeps statistical data and reports in line with standards.
• Participates in departmental meetings and quality improvement activities.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
