Job summary

S&R Group of Companies is seeking a Casual Personal Support Worker (PSW) for Long Term Care. This part-time role supports Residents in a home-like setting, assisting with daily living activities, mobility, and personal care, while collaborating with the care team to ensure safety and dignity.

We provide a thorough orientation and ongoing opportunities to grow skills and take on specialized roles, including Behavioural Supports, Rehab, and Quality Improvement.

Qualifications

• PSW Certificate or HSPCOA Registration required.
• Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) within past 6 months.
• TB 2 Step updated within last year.

Responsibilities

• Assisted residents with daily living activities, including lifts/transfers, bathing and feeding, promoting independence and dignity.
• Collaborated with RPNs and care team to deliver safe, compassionate care.
• Completed POC tasks with accurate resident information.
• Participated in shift reports, care conferences and team huddles to improve resident care.
• Supported residents with mobility, personal care and nutrition, noting changes that matter.
• Created meaningful moments by connecting with residents and celebrating milestones.
• Participated in programs such as Behavioural Supports, Rehab or Quality Improvement.
• Mentored new team members to strengthen the care culture.
