Job summary

Canada Diagnostic Centres is seeking a casual Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our Pacific Place team. You will perform exams under radiologist supervision, explain procedures to patients, and collaborate with multiple teams to deliver compassionate care.

Ongoing professional development and compliance with regulations are essential. We value a compassionate approach, CAMRT/ACMDTT eligibility, and a commitment to delivering remarkable care.

Qualifications

  • Active CAMRT & ACMDTT registration or eligibility.
  • Clinical competency in Nuclear Medicine with interest in expanding skills.
  • Exposure to Bone Mineral Density is a plus.
  • History of compassionate, collaborative patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Nuclear Medicine exams under radiologist direction.
  • Explain exams and procedures and address patient questions.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and clinic teams to ensure a seamless patient experience.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to refine skills.
  • Follow privacy, safety and regulatory requirements.

We are currently looking for a certified, or soon to be certified, casual Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our Pacific Place team. Working collaboratively with radiologists and other healthcare professionals, you’ll explain exams, position patients, adjust equipment, perform and capture diagnostic images. Bringing compassion and clarity to each patient interaction, you’ll help ensure remarkable care every visit.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Perform Nuclear Medicine Exams: Conduct studies under the direction of radiologists and referring physicians, while adhering to departmental protocols and guidelines.
  • Provide Remarkable Care: Explain exams and procedures, address questions, ease concerns, and help patients feel comfortable.
  • Collaborate with Clinic Teams: Partner with radiologists and other teams to help deliver a seamless and thoughtful experience.
  • Expand Expertise: Engage in ongoing professional development to refine existing skills.
  • Ensure Compliance: Follow privacy, confidentiality, safety, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and Troubleshoot Systems: Track equipment performance, document findings, and assist in resolving basic issues.
  • Prepare and Maintain Work Areas: Clean and set up exam rooms for patients, reporting low inventory.

  • Professional Membership: Active registration (or eligibility) with CAMRT & ACMDTT as Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • Nuclear Medicine Experience: Clinical competency with an interest in refining and expanding skills.
  • Specialized Knowledge: Exposure, or interest in developing skills, in Bone Mineral Density.
  • A Compassionate Approach: A history of remarkable care, collaboration, adaptability, and flexibility.
