Qualifications

• Fluent in written and spoken English with strong communication skills.
• Current First Aid and CPR Level C certification (CSA-approved).
• Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Proof of primary childhood immunizations and a adult Tdap dose (with a booster within the last 10 years).
• Current UOF and MOAB certifications, or ability to complete prerequisite training prior to onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine security patrols of hospital grounds, including hallways and entrances.
• Monitor security cameras and alarm systems for hazards or unauthorized access.
• De-escalate high-stress situations with calm, professional communication.
• Assist visitors and patients with directions and hospital information.
• Respond quickly to security calls, medical emergencies, and alarms.
• Write clear daily activity logs and incident reports before shift end.
• Enforce facility safety protocols in a polite, professional manner.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Conduct routine security patrols of hospital grounds, including hallways, patient care areas, entrances, and parking lots.

Monitor security cameras and alarm systems to identify potential safety hazards or unauthorized access.

De-escalate challenging or emotional situations calmly using strong verbal communication skills.

Assist visitors and patients with directions and general hospital information.

Respond quickly to security calls, medical emergencies, and facility alarms alongside hospital staff.

Write clear, accurate daily activity logs and incident reports before the end of your shift.

Enforce facility safety protocols in a polite, professional manner.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Rate: $19.67 per hour (overtime rate applies after 48 hours).

Paid Certification: If you do not already hold Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certifications, Paladin covers the full cost of required prerequisite training with a six-month availability commitment.

Requirements

Must-Haves

Valid Class 5 Driver's License.

Current First Aid and CPR Level C certification (CSA-approved).

Fluent in written and spoken English, with strong communication skills.

Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.

Proof of primary childhood immunizations and a adult Tdap dose (with a booster within the last 10 years).
