Job summary

Paladin Security is seeking a casual Emergency Medical Responder / Security Guard near Red Deer, Alberta. The role includes guarding the Nova Chemicals site, ensuring safety, and providing professional support to staff and visitors.

Candidates must have an EMR certificate and a valid Alberta AB Security license or be willing to obtain one before starting. Class 4 Alberta Driver’s license or willingness to obtain one is also preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• EMR certificate is required or equivalent training and licensure.

Responsibilities

• Offer support to persons in need of assistance.
• Monitor environment for safety hazards and infractions.
• Follow site safety and emergency procedures during alarms or emergencies.
• Take direction from supervisors and management.
• Conduct traffic and pedestrian control at site access points.
• Perform vehicle and bag searches as required.
• Patrol assigned areas to ensure safety of people, structures and assets.
• Report irregularities such as security breaches or hazards.
