ʔaq̓am is seeking Casual Early Childhood Educators (ECE) to support the Daycare team and supervise children on a daily basis, providing a safe and healthy environment.

Responsibilities include supervising children, planning and facilitating activities, and preparing snacks and lunch. BC ECE certification and CPR/First Aid are required, with a clear criminal record including vulnerable sector check. Preference given to Indigenous applicants.

More About You

In order to qualify for theEarly Childhood Educator (ECE) roles, the following are required:

• An BC Certified Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certification is required.
• Valid CPR and First Aid Certificate.
• Proof of a clear criminal record including vulnerable sector check.
• Preference will be given to candidates who have previous experience working in a similar capacity, supervising and working with children; experience developing learning activities would be an asset.

Competitive Hourly wages from $21-$25 per hour for ECEs, depending on experience level, plus 4% vacation pay. Qualification for the BC ECEWage Enhancement and First Nation Specific Wage Enhancements.

Preference will be given to candidates of Ktunaxa or other Indigenous ancestry andʔaq̓amencourages applicants to self-identify within your application. Applications will be received until the positions are filled and will be reviewed as received.
