Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Dietary Aide to support all kitchen operations and ensure quality service to clients, patients and residents.

The successful candidate will follow dietary management and dietitians' guidance, adhere to safety and hygiene policies, and complete training as required. Training will be provided, with shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Competenze

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Must have valid G driver's license or be able to obtain one.
• Food Handler Certificate preferred or obtainable during probation.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
• Must be physically able to perform all tasks.
• Ability to work days, evenings, nights and weekends as schedule requires.

• Food preparation and distribution of patient and resident meals, including transport of meal cart to care areas.
• Maintain food safety standards at all times.
• Knowledge of cash register operations is an asset.
• Flexibility to work shifts, mainly days and weekends.

Job Summary:

The Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic individual to help support all kitchen operations to ensure quality service to all clients, patients, and residents. Dietary Aides follow requirements provided by dietary management and dietitians, and adheres to all policies and regulations for safety, hygiene and facility food preparation guidelines. Training will be provided.

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Must have valid G driver's license or capable of completing upon date of hire.
• Preference will be given to candidates with a current Food Handler Certificate; otherwise, certification must be obtained during the probationary period.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
• Must be physically able to perform all assigned tasks.
• Applicants must have the ability to work days, evenings, nights and weekends depending on the schedule.

Job Duties:

• Food preparation and distribution of patient and resident meals including transportation of patient meal cart to and from patient care areas.
• Maintain food safety standards at all times.
• Knowledge operation of cash register an asset.
• Must have flexibility to work shifts as assigned, mainly days and weekends.
• Must adhere to organizational policies and procedures concerning cleaning, hand hygiene and the use of Personal Protective Equipment in support of Infection Control measures and attend training when necessary

Physical Demands:

• Considerable walking, lifting, standing, pushing, pulling and bending.
• Frequently required to lift up to 30lbs.
