Job summary

Lakeland Catholic School Division is seeking reliable casual custodians to provide on-call, temporary coverage at Light of Christ Catholic School in Lac La Biche. These casual, on-call positions are essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors when regular custodial staff are absent.

Qualifications

• Basic facility maintenance skills (e.g., changing light bulbs, minor tasks).
• Experience with or knowledge of commercial cleaning practices.
• Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Empty garbage bins and replace liners.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms and restock supplies as needed.
• Wash windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
• Maintain cleanliness in hallways, entrances, and shared spaces.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and follow guidelines for chemical use.
• Report any required repairs or maintenance.
• Follow safety procedures to maintain a secure working environment.
