Job summary

qathet School District is seeking on-call casual bus drivers to join our transportation team in Powell River. Roles are on an on-call basis, with a focus on safe student transport and reliable bus operation.

Applicants must hold a BC Class 2 license with Air Brake endorsement, Grade 12, and a Level 1 First Aid Certificate. Bus driving experience is preferred and we welcome qualified candidates to apply.

Qualifications

• Current BC Class 2 Driver's License with Air Brake endorsement required.
• Knowledge of rules/regulations under the BC Motor Vehicle Act.
• Experience in safe and efficient operation and daily servicing of school buses.
• Level 1 First Aid Certificate required.
• Bus driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-call casual bus transportation for students and staff.
• Ensure safety and proper operation of buses during trips and stops.

Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, or designate, we welcome applications for on-call casual bus drivers to join our transportation team.

Requirements:

• Completion of Grade 12.
• Current BC Class 2 Driver's License with Air Brake endorsement.
• Knowledge of rules and regulations pertaining to the operation of a school bus required under the BC Motor Vehicle Act.
• Skill in the safe and efficient operation and daily servicing of school buses.
• Level 1 First Aid Certificate.
• Bus Driving Experience.
