Job summary

Black & McDonald Limited is seeking a Casual Building Operator for weekday shifts across the Greater Toronto Area. The role focuses on inspections, preventive maintenance, and operation of HVAC, electrical, and life safety systems at multiple sites.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in facilities maintenance, knowledge of BAS, and a valid driver’s license; travel to GTA sites is expected. Union-based compensation is noted in the salary guidance.

Qualifications

• HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems knowledge required.
• BES 1 and/or BES 2 trade license preferred.
• 1-3 years of facilities maintenance and operations experience.
• Valid driver’s license with clean abstract required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine property and site inspections and perform maintenance across GTA sites.
• Complete preventive/demand maintenance tasks (HVAC, pumps, belts, chemical treatments).
• Inspect, operate, maintain and repair boilers, chillers, HVAC, pumps, generators, life safety systems.
