Job summary

Independent Grocers Alliance is seeking a cashier supervisor in Quebec, Canada to lead a department in a fast-moving grocery environment. You will work with the Department Manager on daily operations, manage purchases and inventories, and ensure accurate cash-handling and reporting.

The role emphasizes leadership, team motivation, and opportunities to progress to department manager or assistant manager positions while delivering excellent customer service.

What might a typical day look like?

As cashier supervisor, you will be expected to:

• perform various management activities within the department department in collaboration with the Department Manager;
• in collaboration with the department manager, ensure the management of purchases, inventories, P.L.U. price lists and respect the sales per hour/person in order to ensure business readiness;
• train, evaluate and motivate the members of his team and carry out the various operations related to the accounting of the cash registers (money transfer, deposits, controls, weekly verifications, etc.).
