Job summary

Independent Grocers Alliance is seeking a cashier supervisor in Magog, QC. The role involves leading the cashier team, coordinating daily department operations, and ensuring accurate cash handling and inventory control. Availability for day or evening shifts and a 32–40 hour work week are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum cashier experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cashier department activities in collaboration with the Department Manager.
• Manage purchases, inventories, PLU price lists and sales per hour per person.
• Train, evaluate and motivate team members; handle cash register tasks including deposits and reconciliations.

What might a typical day look like?

As cashier supervisor, you will be expected to:

• perform various management activities within the department department in collaboration with the Department Manager;


• in collaboration with the department manager, ensure the management of purchases, inventories, P.L.U. price lists and respect the sales per hour/person in order to ensure business readiness;


• train, evaluate and motivate the members of his team and carry out the various operations related to the accounting of the cash registers (money transfer, deposits, controls, weekly verifications, etc.).
