Job summary

Independent Grocers Alliance is seeking a part-time cashier in Sainte-Adèle to support daily checkout operations. You will punch and scan items, ensure pricing accuracy, handle cash and payments, and balance the till with adherence to established policies.

The role offers flexible shifts (day and evening) with 24–35 hours per week, catering to a dynamic team focused on customer satisfaction and efficient service.

Qualifications

• Experience with cash register systems is preferred.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Attention to price accuracy and transaction handling.

Responsibilities

• Punch and/or scan merchandise for customers.
• Ensure prices punched/scanned are accurate and cancel as needed.
• Handle cash, debit, cheques, and deposits following policies.
• Maintain cash register balance and meet productivity standards.

What might a typical day look like?

As a cashier, you will :

• punch and/or scan merchandise selected by the customer;
• ensure accuracy of prices punched/scanned and make cancellations according to established standards;
• handle cash and media (debit cards, cheques, etc.) and make deposits according to established policies;
• ensure the balance of the cash register and respect the productivity standards (sales/hours, punching/minute)
