Main Purpose and Function
The Cashier Receptionist performs clerical, informational and elementary cashiering work of a routine nature in connection with the operation of VanDusen Botanical Garden and Bloedel Conservatory. The position provides information and assistance to patrons regarding garden admission, membership, rentals, policies, events, schedules, and fees; receives, records and takes payments and maintains related clerical records. The Cashier Receptionist answers public inquiries, providing excellent customer support, assists with orienting office staff and other related duties as required.
Specific Duties/Responsibilities
Education and Experience:
Completion of Grade 11, supplemented by some experience in dealing with the public and some cashier experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
