Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for a Part-Time Cashier/Postal Clerk to join our team at Sandstone Pharmacies Crescent Heights in Medicine Hat, Alberta.

Responsibilities

• Sort and batch incoming and outgoing mail accurately and on time
• Assist customers with mail-related inquiries and services
• Verify address accuracy, postage, and packaging requirements
• Process transactions such as selling stamps, receiving letters, and handling MoneyGram services
• Weigh and calculate postage for letters and parcels; affix correct postage
• Operate computer systems for data entry and transaction processing
• Perform physical tasks including bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying as needed
• Maintaining store cleanliness and standards
• Greeting and upselling items to customers
• Support the Front Store Manager with additional tasks as required

Qualifications

• Accurate cash handling skills with strong computer and POS proficiency
• Previous customer service or cashiering experience preferred; retail and merchandising experience considered an asset
• Clear, courteous communication skills with the ability to manage conflict and solve problems effectively
• Strong multitasking abilities to serve multiple customers in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
• Professional demeanor, including appropriate grooming and wearing a name tag
• Physically capable of standing for long periods and performing tasks such as lifting and bending throughout the shift
• This position could include a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
