Job summary

The Home Depot Canada in Vernon, BC is hiring a Front End Associate to guide customers to the right solutions for their projects. You will direct customers to open registers, support at assisted check-outs, and execute the GET checkout process accurately and promptly.

This role emphasizes product knowledge, friendly service, promoting services such as Credit, Extended Warranty, Tool Rental and Pro Services, while maintaining safety and following store policies.

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• 1–2 years of Retail or Cash experience is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet each customer using GET Involved, engage during the transaction and thank them for their business.
• Demonstrate knowledge of products and services and make appropriate suggestions to meet customer needs.
• Minimize wait times in checkout and ensure efficient processing of transactions.
• Promote and recommend services such as Credit, Extended Warranty, Tool Rental, Pro Services, etc.

• Treats all customers and associates in a sincere, appreciative manner and minimizes the time in the checkout line, acknowledging waiting customers.
• Promote and recommends services offered such as Credit, Extended Warranty, Tool Rental, Pro Services, etc.

Maintains Safety, Security and Shrink Mitigation

• Follows all Safety and Loss Prevention policies and procedures.
• Follows processes on the front-end designed to mitigate shrink and protect assets.
