Job summary

The Home Depot Canada is seeking a Front-end Associate to guide customers to open registers and assist at assisted check-outs. You will excel in accurate, timely transactions through our GET checkout process and contribute to a positive shopping experience.

In this role you will engage customers, demonstrate product knowledge, and suggest relevant services while maintaining service standards in a busy retail environment. Training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 1–2 years Retail or Cash experience an asset.
• Strong interpersonal and cash handling skills expected.

• Demonstrates knowledge of products, services, and makes suggestions to meet needs.
• Treats customers and associates with respect, minimizes checkout time for waiting customers.

• Using the GET Involved approach to customer service, front-end associate greets each customer, engages them during the transaction and thanks the customer for their business.
• Demonstrates knowledge of products and services and makes appropriate suggestions to meet the customers’ needs.
• Treats all customers and associates in a sincere, appreciative manner and minimizes the time in the checkout line, acknowledging waiting customers.
• Promote and recommends services offered such as Credit, Extended Warranty, Tool Rental, Pro Services, etc.

Maintains Safety, Security and Shrink Mitigation

• Follows all Safety and Loss Prevention policies and procedures.
• Follows processes on the front-end designed to mitigate shrink and protect assets.
