Florence Meats in Oakville, a family-run business since 1977, seeks a friendly cashier to join a dynamic team.

You will handle cash, assist customers, merchandise shelves, and help maintain a tidy, welcoming store. Experience in food industry is preferred and on-site parking is available.

If you are a foodie eager to provide excellent service, this role offers regular Tue-Sat hours and opportunities to learn about our quality meat products.

Qualifications

• 2 years (preferred) merchandising/cashier experience.
• Experience in the Food industry or for a food establishment is preferred.

• Merchandising grocery shelves in an attractive manner when needed
• Familiarize yourself with the groceries we carry in order to assist customers
• Periodic Inventory Counts
• Answering the phone when necessary

Schedule

• This position requires that you be available to work Tuesdays thru Saturdays (regular store hours).
• Sunday and Mondays the store is closed.

Physical Demands

• The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an cashier to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
• While performing the duties of this job, the Cashier is regularly required to:
• Stand and/or walk.
• Bend, twist, and squat.
• Lift and/or move up to 18 kg (10 lbs.).
• Perform tasks involving firm grasping.
• Perform repetitive tasks requiring a range of hand motions.
• Reach above shoulder height and below waist level.
