Job summary

The McMurray Group, owner of A&W Restaurants across Western Canada, is seeking a Cashier in Williams Lake, BC. You will take orders, handle payments, and help create a fast, welcoming experience.

This position offers flexible hours (up to 40 hrs/week), training, and opportunities to advance into leadership roles. English required; prior customer service experience is appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Guest Service & Cash Handling: Take orders and handle payments using POS, greet guests, answer questions, ensure accuracy and a smile.
• Food Service Support: Assist teammates with preparing and serving food and drinks, help during busy periods.
• Cleanliness & Operations: Restock and tidy dining areas, assist with cleanliness and food safety standards.
• Teamwork: Support your team and help the shift run smoothly.

Duties & Responsibilities

Guest Service & Cash Handling

• Take orders and handle payments using our POS system
• Greet guests and answer menu questions
• Ensure every order is accurate and delivered with a smile

Food Service Support

• Assist teammates with preparing and serving food and drinks
• Help keep service running smoothly during busy periods

Cleanliness & Operations

• Restock fridges, cupboards, and workstations
• Keep dining areas clean, organized, and guest‑ready
• Assist with dining room, restroom, and exterior cleanliness to maintain a positive guest experience
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards

Teamwork

• Support your team and contribute to a positive work environment
• Jump in where needed to help the shift run smoothly
