SUMMARY:
  • Maintain excellent customer service and checkout area
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
CUSTOMER SERVICE:
  • Provide excellent customer service and positively engage with all customers
  • Maintain a neat and organized checkout area
  • Greet all customers with a warm demeanor
  • Accurately scan or enter product data
  • Accurately handle cash, coupons, lottery tickets, and PC Optimum transactions
  • Ask for the customer’s PC Optimum Card during each transaction
MERCHANDISING:
  • Ensure proper documentation for receipts and return of goods
  • Maintain designated merchandising areas (facing, signing, labeling, etc.)
LOSS PREVENTION:
  • Follow loss prevention standards
  • Control cash, lottery, and stamp inventory
GENERAL:
  • Present a proper image in accordance with the uniform policy and dress code
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations
  • Follow store policies and procedures
  • Maintain housekeeping and store image standards
  • Perform other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Planning, judgment, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to balance teamwork and efficiency
  • Organizational skills and neatness
  • Efficiency in processing customer orders
EXPERIENCE:
  • Strong computer and register skills
  • Well-organized with good record-keeping abilities
