Summary

The Cashier is responsible for completing sales transactions and supporting functions such as cleaning food, display, and stock areas, as well as assisting with stocking activities. Performs additional duties as directed by management. This is a non-exempt position.

Essential Functions

1. Operates a cash register, processes payments, and provides accurate change, following HMSHost policies.
2. Maintains knowledge of products and services.
3. Cleans and stocks the work area.
4. Verifies transaction accuracy and operates electronic data processing equipment.

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment

• Cash handling and customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to interact positively with the public and coworkers.
• Physical ability to bend, twist, stand, and lift objects over 10 lbs.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate instructions and policies effectively.
