TMX Group in Toronto is seeking a Cash Management Officer to support the preparation and processing of client disbursements, reconciliations, and statements for TSX segregated accounts. This hybrid role requires 3 days in the office in Toronto, ON.

Key tasks include daily cash reporting, segregated fund reconciliations, and Workday data entry. The ideal candidate has 1–3+ years in banking or cash management, with strong Excel skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • 1-3+ years experience in banking, trust or other complex cash management environment.
  • Accounting or finance background preferred.
  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare internal/external reports for distributions on funds held for clients.
  • Prepare daily cash reports reflecting inflows and outflows.
  • Prepare reconciliations of segregated accounts as needed.
  • Populate segregated funds transactions in Workday daily.
  • Prepare interest calculations on client segregated funds and obtain approval for disbursement.
  • Prepare disbursement calculations per agreements and maintain records.
  • Process scheduled and unscheduled disbursements with documentation.
  • Monitor wire transfers and assist with cross-border reporting.

Through a rich exchange of ideas, meaningful collaboration, and a nimble operating model, we're powering some of the nation's most critical systems, fueling capital formation and innovation, bringing increased opportunity to business visionaries, product ingenuity to consumers, and career exploration to our team.Ready to be part of the action?The Cash Management Officer is responsible for the preparation and processing of client disbursements, reconciliation and preparation ofclient account statements and to assist with the control of cash management activities for TSX segregated accounts.This role is hybrid (3 days/week in the office) - based in Toronto, ON.Key Accountabilities:Prepare internal/external reports for distributions on funds held on behalf of clientsPrepare daily cash report reflecting cash inflow and outflows.Prepare reconciliations of segregated accounts as the need arises.Preparation of Monthly Segregated Funds ReportPopulate segregated funds transactions in Workday on a daily basis.Prepare interest calculations on client segregated funds, as per documented agreements and obtain approval for disbursement of these fundsPrepare disbursement calculations per documented agreements; manage the record-keeping and reconciliation of the dividend, interest, Corporate Trust and Corporate Actions paymentsProcess scheduled and unscheduled disbursements and maintain related file documentationPrepare outgoing wire transfers and monitor incoming wire transfer activityMonitor Positive Pay exceptions from external banks and take corrective actionsWork with other team members to implement changes to the banking, distribution, and reporting processesManage the documentation process to ensure appropriate audit trail from account opening through closing of client accountsMaintain outgoing wire log and prepare cross border wire reporting to FINTRACAssist with the preparation of year-end tax slips and reportingMust Haves:1-3+ years experience in a banking, trust or other complex cash management environmentPreference for candidates with an accounting or finance background plus post-secondary degreeExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong proficiency with Excel is a key requirementExperience with payments, deposits and reconciliationsStrong attention to detail as this team works with millions of transactions every single day.Salary Range: 55,000/year -58,000/year CADPlease note that the salary range included is a guideline only.
