Job summary

Acuren is seeking a Cash Applications Clerk to join our Shared Services team in Sherwood Park, AB. This on-site role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and is a full-time permanent position.

You will apply and reconcile customer payments, investigate discrepancies, and support month-end activities and controls. Collaboration across Finance, Operations, IT, and Collections will drive process improvements and cash flow efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
• 3–5 years of progressive experience in cash application or accounts receivable.
• Experience with electronic payment platforms and ERP systems.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and audit support experience.

Responsibilities

• Accurately apply and reconcile customer payments across multiple business units.
• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and variances.
• Perform daily and monthly reconciliations to the general ledger.
• Support month-end close and audit schedules.
• Collaborate with Collections, IT, and Operations to improve cash flow.
