Job description

Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Work Flexibility: Hybrid

Location: 2 Medicorum Place, Waterdown, ON

Summary:

The Cash Application Coordinator is responsible for receiving and applying customer payments to the correct account to clear open accounts receivable (AR) and handle full Accounts Receivable lifecycle. In this role, you will also be responsible for investigating discrepancies to apply cash accurately and to continuously find opportunities for improvement and presenting those to management.

What You Will Do:

  • Record and apply customer payments accurately within 24 hours, including credit card transactions.
  • Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and initiate unapplied payment correspondence.
  • Review unapplied cash reports weekly to ensure accurate application of funds.
  • Make collection calls and follow up on past due accounts, missed commitments, and short payments.
  • Send outstanding invoices and proactive customer statements using MyDSO software.
  • Log customer complaints and maintain documentation in compliance with SOX policies.
  • Use SharePoint for account opening and credit limit approval requests.
  • Identify and escalate areas of concern; perform additional duties as assigned.

What You Need:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3+ years cash application experience

Preferred:

  • University Degree in business administration, accounting, or related discipline

Internal applicants with an equivalent combination of education, experience and performance over time at Stryker will be considered.
