Salary: External Rate: J7 - $63,491.84
Internal Rate: J8 - $64,787.59

Work Hours: 35 Hours/week

Program Overview – Homeward Bound & Neighbourhood Programs: The program includes components such as career development, life skills, academic upgrading, computer training, and a college diploma program. It also features internships, access to sustainable employment, on-site childcare, family support, and an after-4 program for school-aged children.

What You Will Do
  • Perform casework duties using professional case management practices and various clinical modalities, including assessment, goal setting, action plan development, intervention, re-assessment, case termination, and follow-up.
  • Coordinate client participation in the Homeward Bound program, liaising with Community Colleges and academic providers to ensure enrollment and participation in programs and training experiences such as field placements and internships.
  • Ensure clients meet program goals and milestones.
  • Liaise and coordinate with Toronto Children Services and Toronto Employment and Social Services.
  • Assist women in resolving daily living functional problems, advocate for them, and facilitate access to support services like healthcare, budgeting, and housing.
  • Identify learning barriers and refer participants to appropriate support sources.
  • Respond to emergencies, provide crisis intervention, and maintain a caseload.
  • Maintain client records in a centralized database according to policy.
  • Collect statistical data and assist in overseeing the safety of children during off-site trips and on-site activities.
  • Work in accordance with relevant legislation, by-laws, program, and organizational policies.
What You Bring to the Team
  • Masters of Social Work or a related Master's Degree; a Bachelor's Degree with relevant experience may be considered.
  • Registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers is required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of related experience working with women who have experienced homelessness, violence, or related issues, including case management and employment planning.

  • Understanding of anti-oppressive practices and trauma-informed approaches.
  • Lived experience as a member of the BIPOC community or other social identities.
