Job summary

Beyond Custom Contracting Inc is seeking skilled carpenters to perform maintenance, repair, and renovation of wooden structures across mills, mines, hospitals, and industrial plants. You will read blueprints, measure and cut materials, assemble structural components and supervise on-site teams.

Candidates should have strong safety awareness, the ability to schedule tasks, and experience with building codes.

Qualifications

• Maintenance and repair experience relevant to construction/woodwork.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
• Attention to safety standards and building codes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs.
• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
• Prepare layouts conforming to building codes using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
• Schedule and coordinate work on sites.
• Supervise other workers.
• Estimate costs and materials.
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures.

• Salary 42.00 hourly / 80 to 88 hours bi-weekly
• Terms of employment Permanent employment Full time

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
