Job summary

The Centre de services scolaire Marguerite-Bourgeoys (CSSMB) in Montreal is seeking a carpentry technician to support school facilities with framing, finishing, and installation tasks. The role focuses on interior carpentry, door/window work, and furniture fabrication for classrooms and buildings.

Schedule includes 38.75 hours per week with evening hours; start date is 2026-07-08. Benefits include pension, insurance, vacation, telemedicine, and parking.

Qualifications

• Hold a diploma of vocational studies in carpentry or equivalent recognized by the competent authority.
• Three (3) years of relevant experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform general framing and finishing work.
• Assemble and dismantle formwork for concrete.
• Install and repair doors, door frames, windows, acoustic tiles on ceilings and floors.
• Install and/or move metal or wood curtain walls.
• Manufacture and repair furniture, cabinets, shelves, and other woodworks not classified as cabinetry.
• Perform any other related tasks.

Working hours: Monday to Friday from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and from 8:30 PM to 11:15 PM

• Perform general framing and finishing work;
• Assemble and dismantle formwork for concrete;
• Install and repair doors, door frames, windows, acoustic tiles on ceilings and floors;
• Install and/or move metal or wood curtain walls;
• Manufacture and repair furniture, cabinets, shelves, and other woodworks not classified as cabinetry;
• Perform any other related tasks.

Requirements

• Hold a diploma of vocational studies in carpentry or any other specialty appropriate to the job class or hold a diploma or certificate of studies whose equivalence is recognized by the competent authority, and have three (3) years of relevant experience.

Or

Hold a valid construction journeyman card

• Valid driver's license.
