Gerry Enns Contracting seeks a skilled Carpenter to join our team in the Okanagan region. Based in Kelowna, BC, you will deliver high-quality carpentry on commercial and residential projects with strong mentorship and career growth opportunities. Some travel to out-of-town sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience on commercial and residential projects.
• Red Seal certification preferred; journeyman level or equivalent considered.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings.
• Strong math skills for layout and material calculation.
• Reliable tool set and PPE; maintain tools for safety and functionality.
• Punctual, organized, and capable of multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Perform layout, framing, flooring, trim, cabinetry, ceiling systems, partitions, and finish carpentry on commercial projects.
• Follow blueprints or verbal instructions to meet specifications.
• Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood, metal, or composite components accurately.
• Collaborate with project managers, general contractors, and subs to meet milestones.
• Maintain clean, safe job sites; organize tools and materials.
• Check work quality and rectify defects; mentor apprentices when needed.
• Adhere to building codes, safety policies, and QA standards.
• Participate in daily briefings and progress reporting.
