Job summary

Jardeg is recruiting for a Carpenter Apprentice to join the Spruce Grove Composite High School project team in Spruce Grove, AB. The role supports formwork for concrete, assembly of structures, and site carpentry under supervision.

You will read blueprints, use hand tools, erect scaffolding, and help maintain safety on site while performing labourer duties as needed. Preference for 2nd-4th year Carpenter Apprentices with CSTS/WHMIS and provincial apprenticeship hours.

Qualifications

• Preference will be given to Carpenter Apprentices in their 2nd through 4th year with a recognized provincial apprenticeship training authority.
• Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade.
• Certifications: CSTS & WHMIS.

Responsibilities

• Look for and fix deficiencies.
• Building of hoarding and other temporary structures.
• Check accuracy of work and make adjustments as required.
• Study blueprints for work planning.
• Using various hand tools.

• Inform supervisor of abnormalities or defects and take appropriate measures.
• Perform labourer duties in addition to carpentry work.
