We are currently recruiting for Apprentice Carpentersto join the team at theRossdale Water Treatment PlantinEdmonton!

This position is in Edmonton, AB and does not have camp accommodations, travel allowance, or living out allowance.


Shift is 5 days on 2 days off – could involve some Saturdays

AS A JOURNEYPERSON CARPENTER, YOU WILL:

  • Build forms for concrete (Peri Forms)
  • Cut, shape, and join
  • Look for and fix deficiencies
  • Building of hoarding and other temporary structures
  • Checks accuracy of work,and makes adjustments as required
  • Studies blueprints for work planning
  • Constructs and forms chutes for pouring concrete
  • Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
  • Acts as a work leader and mentors to apprentice carpenters
  • Informs immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or takes appropriate measures
  • General site upkeep

Requirements:

  • Preference will be given toa Registered Carpenter Apprentice
  • Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade
  • Experience with PERI Formwork is an asset
  • Certifications: CSTS & WHMIS
  • Fall Protection is an asset
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Satisfactory completion of Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
