Job summary

FWS Group of Companies is hiring Carpenters for a project site in Northern BC to join our collaborative and team-focused organization. You will provide support to the department and Superintendent, working on concrete formwork and reading drawings to build to specifications.

• Proficient knowledge of concrete formwork and falsework, reinforcing, placing and finishing.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and build to drawings and specs.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle; own basic trade tools.
• Available to work a 21/7 rotation with extended time away from home; pre-access drug/alcohol testing may be required.

As our Carpenter, you will provide support to the department and Superintendent.

Position Overview:

• Proficient knowledge of concrete formwork and falsework, reinforcing, placing, and finishing.
• Read and understand construction drawings and be able to build to drawings and specifications.
• Responsible for safe use of equipment including forklift, skid steer loader, scissor lifts, and power tools .
• Supervise labourers and resources as required.

Qualifications Needed:

• Appropriate level of carpentry experience or enrolled in an Apprenticeship Program.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.
• Must be able to work a 21/7 work rotation with extended time away from home.
• Own and maintain basic trade tools.
• Pre-access Drug & Alcohol testing may be required due to client requirements.
