Job summary

GSL Construction in Grande Prairie, AB is seeking a self-motivated Carpenter capable of reading blueprints, measuring layouts, and joining materials. The position is permanent and full-time with day and weekend shifts.

The successful candidate will own basic carpentry tools (steel-toed boots required), have 3–5 years of experience, and hold a high school diploma. English fluency and the ability to work at multiple sites are essential.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications.
• Prepare layouts in accordance with building codes using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials (wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel).
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
• Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings.

Job Requirements
