Job summary

FWS Group of Companies is seeking a Carpenter for a project site in Northern British Columbia. The role focuses on concrete formwork, falsework, and executing work to drawings and specifications while maintaining a safe work environment.

The position requires supervising labourers and coordinating resources, with a 21/7 rotation and time away from home. Valid driver’s license and own tools are needed; Drug & Alcohol testing may be required by the client.

Qualifications

• Appropriate level of carpentry experience or enrolled in an Apprenticeship Program.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.
• Must be able to work a 21/7 work rotation with extended time away from home.
• Own and maintain basic trade tools.
• Pre-access Drug & Alcohol testing may be required due to client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the department and Superintendent.

• Operate and maintain equipment (forklift, skid steer loader, scissor lifts, power tools) safely.

• Read and understand construction drawings and be able to build to drawings and specifications.
• Responsible for safe use of equipment including forklift, skid steer loader, scissor lifts, and power tools.
• Supervise labourers and resources as required.
