Job summary

Wasauksing First Nation is seeking a Home Support Worker to provide light housekeeping and related in-home support for eligible community members. The role emphasizes safety, confidentiality, and adherence to policies, with duties assigned by the Community Services Coordinator.

Required are a high school diploma and the ability to understand Anishnaabemowin as an asset. A valid driver's license and CPR/First Aid are preferred; flexibility for evenings and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to speak, read and understand Anishnaabemowin (Ojibway) is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Visit clients as scheduled and approved by the Community Services Coordinator.
• Perform light housekeeping for clients weekly or daily.
• Follow health care and coordinator directions for home support tasks.
• Keep clients safe and maintain confidentiality of services.
• Report concerns to supervisor for action and use universal precautions.
• Attend required community meetings and stay current with by-laws.
