Receives, stores, builds-up, breaks-down, and distributes air freight within operational guidelines. Position requires heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, stretching, and frequent kneeling.

Main Accountabilities Include:

1. Read air waybills, bills of lading, and freight manifests to determine the items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
2. Convey freight from receiving areas to storage or to other warehouse areas using forklift or other designated handling equipment.
3. Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as consignee or destination.
4. Sort and store dangerous goods in the proper area.
5. Complete requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to other locations.
6. Open bales, crates, and other containers for breakdown. Record counts of items received or distributed.
7. Weigh and count items for distribution within the warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards and airway bill.
8. Perform cargo build-up and/or breakdowns, freight to and/or from skids, pallets, or ULDs.
9. Perform X-ray or other pre-flight security checks on manifested cargo as required.
10. Ensure that work areas are clean and hazard-free of loose nets, straps, etc.
11. Must practice all company’s Safety Policy inclusive of, but not limited to: wearing PPE, equipment operation, safe lifting procedures, or obeying speed limits when driving company vehicles and equipment.
12. Data entry on a web-based computer system.
13. Other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

1. Must be eligible to work in Canada.
2. Must be able to obtain a RAIC security clearance through the airport.
3. Legal age (18) in Alberta.
4. Valid Class 5 (minimum) Driver’s License, excluding graduated licenses.
5. AVOP DA is an asset.
6. Forklift skills an asset (training is provided).
7. Good communication skills in English (verbal and written).
8. Warehouse experience an asset.
9. Airline experience an asset.
10. Must be flexible and available to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
