Job summary

Workland in Rosemere, QC is seeking a caretaker to maintain and oversee the upkeep of an educational facility. You will perform preventive and routine maintenance, coordinate tasks with colleagues, and ensure safe operation of building systems.

Requires three years of relevant experience and knowledge of building trades, with a full-time schedule of 38h75 and a pay rate around CAD 25.89 per hour. Benefits include vacation, pension, telemedicine, and EAP.

Qualifications

• Three years of pertinent experience.
• General knowledge of heating, ventilation, lighting and alarm systems.
• Basic knowledge of main building trades.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance, preventive and physical upkeep of the facility.

Nature of the Work

• The principal and customary work of an employee in this class of employment consists in being responsible for carrying out the maintenance work as well as the preventive and physical upkeep of an educational institution or building.
• The role also consists in organizing and carrying out such work as well as coordinating and overseeing it when it is carried out with or by other employees.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Have three (3) years of pertinent experience.
• Practical skills: Have a general knowledge of the operation of the heating, ventilation, lighting and alarm systems that a caretaker oversees.
• Have a basic knowledge of the main building trades.
