Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs
- Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse
- Empty trash cans and other waste containers
- Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings
- Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment
- Perform safety and security checks
- Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies
- Water and tend to plants, lawns and / or gardens
- Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures
- Work with minimal supervision
- Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas
Qualifications and Work Information
- Education: No degree, certificate or diploma
- Experience: Will train
- Work setting: Urban area; Hospital / medical facility or clinic
- Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
- Transportation / travel information: Public transportation is available
- Personal suitability: Flexibility; Reliability
- Hours of work: 35 hours per week
